Description

Primary Purpose
This role combines leadership in school counseling with oversight of Licensed Mental Health
Professionals, demonstrating a commitment to holistic student development.

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification:
Master’s degree in education, counseling, or related field from accredited college or university required
Valid Texas School Counselor certification required.
Professional license required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of counseling procedures and requirements, student appraisal, state curriculum,
state assessment, CTE programs, college, and career readiness standards.
Knowledge of CO22 table, transcripts, and HB5 graduation requirements.
Experience with Skyward preferred.
Knowledge of MTSS tools and systems
Ability to interact successfully and develop partnerships with a variety of people and groups..
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

 

Experience:
Minimum of three years of teaching experience required
Minimum of three years school counseling experience required
Administrative/Leadership experience preferred
